I can finally breathe

Yes, Joe, I’m alive.  Barely.  My week from heck is over.  I took my last final on Tuesday, so I can finally relax a little.  I graduated from Wallace Community College on Thursday.  I can’t believe that I’ve actually graduated from college, even though it’s an associate’s degree.  Just a couple more years and I’ll be done with my bachelor’s.  I’ll be taking the summer off from school and working at the cabinet shop full time.  This summer is still going to be hectic, though.  In June we plan to go to Nauvoo for a family reunion.  Then, of course, we’ll be in Idaho for two weeks.  That, combined with scouting activities, will completely fill my summer.

By the way, if anyone cares to know, I’m officially a volunteer fireman.  I go to meetings every other week.  I’ve responded to a couple of fires, but it hasn’t really been very exciting (not that fires should be exciting.)  It’s a small town, and not much goes on.

Jennifer is staying busy.  She has two more weeks to go until summer vacation starts, and she’s counting the days.

Emily is growing like a weed.  She’s saying a few words and her little personality keeps us laughing.

We can’t wait to visit everyone this summer.

  1. That is awesome Dan, congratulations on graduating!

  2. Congrats Dan! It’s a good feeling isn’t it?

  3. Way to go Dan. That is awesome. I really wish I could have come to see you walk. I will be there when you get your bachelor’s degree come hell or high water though. I think it is awesome. How was walking? Even though I had made up my mind to walk, I thought it would be pretty lame. It really wasn’t though. It took a long time because they did the entire University at once, but we got to march in to bagpipes so that was cool. Anyway, I think this is awesome. Great Job.

  4. I’ve had a hard time geing on your blog since you changed it, so I didn’t seethis post until now. I told you congratulations on the phone, but just wanted to tell you again. We are looking forward to seeing you later this month. I would really like a copy of the pictures on this post. Could you email them to me?

  5. ROFL…I see that you now have the weather pixie on your blog. I had it on mine for a little while before I was politely encouraged to make a different decision about whether or not it should remain on the blog. :)

  6. I did it for you Joe!
